I am based in Medellín. I chose it specifically. And the reason I chose it, beyond everything else, is the light. Colombia sits at equatorial latitude with Andean altitude, which creates a quality of late-afternoon illumination that I have not found replicated anywhere else I have worked. The country also has extraordinary visual diversity: Cartagena's Caribbean colonial grandeur, Medellín's modern mountain city, Bogotá's grittier highland energy. The flower industry means florals here are extraordinary and affordable. The food is exceptional. The dollar stretches significantly further than in equivalent European destinations. Colombia is where I send couples who want something genuinely extraordinary and have not found it in the usual destinations.
Light & atmosphere
Colombia's combination of equatorial sun and Andean altitude creates a golden hour that arrives reliably, burns intensely warm, and then fades through a blue hour that is some of the most beautiful ambient light I have worked in. The surrounding mountain landscapes in every major Colombian city add a backdrop that requires no additional context to look spectacular.

How much does a destination wedding photographer cost in Colombia?+
My Colombia packages start around USD $4,000 for intimate ceremonies and go up from there depending on coverage, add-ons, and multi-day logistics. I share exact numbers on a discovery call.
When is the best time of year to get married in Colombia?+
Cartagena's dry season runs December–April. Medellin has an eternal spring climate and is beautiful year-round. December and January are peak season across the country.
Do you speak Spanish?+
Yes — I am conversational in Spanish and have worked with Colombian vendors, haciendas, and planners extensively.
